Fantastic food here. It's flawless from a taste and presentation stand point. The only issue - portions are never enough! The appetizers were great. The carrot soup was thick and rich, with a nice play on the texture with the pecan granola. Chicken was grilled to perfection as well, a lot like Roister.

It was always a dream of mine to eat in a Michelin star restaurant. I had several to choose from but this one seemed unpretentious and accessible. That doesn’t mean this was low class. Quite the opposite. The environment was cozy, artistic and a bit bohemian to me. The staff was super lovely and helpful. The whole meal was an experience. The stars of the meal for me were the bread and butter, steak tartare (not pictured cause it was so good) and the scallop. I audibly gasped at that foam. Best flavor in the weirdest form. I would come back 100xs over. Next time I want to do the wine pairing. Don’t hesitate. Book this place.

I had a wonderful evening dining here out on their patio. Each dish was amazing and the service is phenomenal as well. You have the option to add on other courses and the caviar dish will not disappoint! There's great care and attention given to the food and drinks which makes me want to dine here again during my next visit.

Enjoyed every single course. The foie gras was my first course and it immediately melts in your mouth with the soup. The next course I had was the scallop while my friends had the beef tartare. The scallop was so good, extremely tasted, dipped in some sauce- it was perfect. Third course was the ravioli and it was perfect, the cheese, the pasta, absolutely delicious. For the fourth course, it was something with chocolate and it was perfect way to end the night. My friends enjoyed their meal as well- they had the foie gras, chicken wings, the beef tartare, cloud cake.

Sepia was delightful. Great ambiance, food and service. From the Michelin Star restaurants in Chicago that I have tried so far, it has been by far the one with the best food. Having the option to choose your own adventure for the testing menu is really nice. My favorite dishes were the smoked beef carpaccio, crispy cream cheese gnudi, lamb loin and the sun choke milk sponge. Everything was absolutely amazing.

Wow. Everything was incredible! $95 for a 4 course meal at a Michelin Star restaurant truly isn't that bad. We did add on each of the add-ons and the wine pairing so it got a bit pricy, but totally worth it. It seems like their whole menu changes pretty frequently, but I'll share my food reviews nonetheless. To start off, the amuse bouche was fantastic. The bread literally melts in your mouth. I would also highly recommend adding the caviar dish. The dashi butter was incredible. The onion consommé was like a fancy French onion soup and so salty and delicious, I had to try to get every last drop. The ricotta gnudi was VERY cheesy which luckily I liked and was a good size, but was so heavy I probably couldn't have had much more. The short rib was really yummy but the mushroom Rangoon stole the show for this dish. I wasn't a huge fan of the tete de moine and would probably skip if I went back, but still glad I tried it. I was sweet and kind of like a dessert cheese. I finished with the chocolate torte which was mm mm sooo good and a good size portion, too! Overall, the food was fantastic, the presentation was lovely, the drinks were unique, the wine pairings were perfect, and the staff were helpful and accommodating! Great experience!

Everything about Sepia is great! We arrived early for our reservation and were able to have a few drinks at the bar. The ambiance was dark/romantic, but not quiet like some other Michelin places where you can hear a pin drop. Every dish we tried was good, no complaints.

Celebrated an anniversary dinner here thanks to the Michelin Star guide... and we were not disappointed! Food: Exquisite taste - including aesthetic presentation, textures and flavorful. From 4 courses, we opted in 2 more courses but ended up being getting 9 course including a couple on the house specials. Ambience: Can't speak much to this because we sat outdoors on their outside sidewalk section Service: Special shout out to our lovely and spirited waitress, Noosha! Loved her energy and friendly demeanor.

We recently visited Sepia for after dinner drinks and were able to walk-in and sit at the low cafe tables which are cocktails only. For the first round we got the There's Always Yen In The Banana Stand which was great and had a nice balance of whisky and banana. The price is in Yen which is a fun touch. Then we got the Hanna-Barbera Presents which was amazing and super unique with the cinnamon toast crunch flavor and the Rods & Cones which for me was too strong with mezcal but great if you enjoy the smokiness.

From beginning to end, everything was delicious! Timely service, friendly staff, great wine selection/pairing and beautiful restaurant. I recommend 100% and I would come back. The food was filling despite the smaller portions, worth it!
